The Kalaischreidoscope of My Mind…

kaleidoscope: from ancient Greek kalos meaning beautiful, eidos meaning shape, and skopeo meaning to look at, contemplate, inquire. Through a kaleidoscope we gain a uniquely beautiful, though obscurred, view of the world. However, the world isn‘t all beauty, and certainly not the world which I perceive through my eyes. Rather, it is often ugly and shameful.* This, therefore, will become the kalaischreidoscope of my mind. A tool through which to view what I perceive to be the beautiful, the grotesque, and maybe even the beautifully grotesque of this world.

*aischros: ugly, shameful
